Egyptian blue frit by Della Magna is an authentic cerulean and delicate pigment. It's produced according to the process used by the ancient Egyptians, who created the first synthetic blue in history more than 5000 years ago.

The original recipe has gone lost lost with the fall of the Roman Empire. Only recently some scientist managed to reconstruct it: chalk, desert sand, natron and malachite (or copper filings) were cooked for about thirty hours in large ovens at temperatures around 900 degrees. This process could be repeated up to three times to obtain this blue pillar of Egyptian art.
