Prussian Blue

Prussian Blue

  • PB 27

    Lighfastness 8/8

    Granulation: no

Historical pigment. Deep and poetic blue hue. It's very transparent and staining.

It's wonderful for skyes, seas and any mixes and glazes in atmospheric paintng.

Prussian blue was discovered by Diesbach by mistake in 1706. Thanks to its brightness, its intensity and cheapness, Prussian blue soon supplanted azurite and indigo in the palettes of European painters.
